This is a definition of faith for those of you who use your right brain. It is an example, an image, a snapshot of faith. Not just faith, in fact, but great faith. It's found in Matthew 8:6-10.
Jesus says faith is what the centurion had who sent word that his servant was sick. Jesus was on His way when the centurion came and asked Jesus not to come to His house but, "speak the word only and my servant will be made whole." Jesus calls this great faith. The centurion doesn't need a demonstration. He doesn't need some feeling of assurance of the presence of Jesus. He doesn't need a feeling. His confidence is in the Word ONLY.
Jesus calls this faith.
