To the (former) Superteacher

They need you,
They cling to you,
They reach for you,

You love them,
You pity them,
You long to help them,
You wish you could save them,
But you can't.

It's too big,
It will not shrink,
And you'll never grow into it,
It grows with you.

You stress over it,

You just can't do it.
You work for it,
You give it everything,
Tomorrow you'll do it,
But you don't.

You have to do it!
You want to do it!
They need you to do it!
But they don't.

They need more than a teacher,
They need a Savior,
They need more than a friend,
They need a Father.
Just give up.

And now that you've done that,
Look at your Savior,
They aren't the only ones who need Him you know.

He can fill their need,
You can only feel it,
He can actually change them,
You can only modify them

So let Him.

Pray, trust, pray, trust, work
Work how?  He'll show you.
He's the teacher now.
